Advancing Mental Health, Dignity and Research Across Africa

Who is Taala?

There are communities across Africa whose right to mental health, wellness, dignity, and safety has never been guaranteed.

We exist for them.
For those navigating societies that render their identities invisible and their wellbeing negotiable.

Taala is a localized response to a global injustice: the continuous exclusion of those deemed too different, too complex, or too inconvenient to care for.

OUR FOCUS

We advance mental health by combining community-led care, digital innovation, and evidence-driven research. Our focus areas work together to close critical gaps for communities too often left out of systems of care.
